First Line Sales Manager – CVRM (Cardio-Renal-Metabolic Business Unit)

We are seeking an experienced First Line Sales Manager to join our Cardio-Renal-Metabolic (CVRM) Business Unit. In this role, you will lead a team of Medical Representatives, drive sales excellence, and coordinate promotional activities for our product portfolio. You will be responsible for setting the sales strategy, coaching and developing your team, and ensuring effective use of CRM systems to achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Sales Excellence

  • Lead, motivate, and develop a team of Medical Representatives in the CVRM therapeutic area.
  • Define sales targets and strategies in alignment with company objectives.
  • Monitor performance against goals, providing coaching and feedback to drive continuous improvement.
  • Conduct regular field visits, joint calls, training sessions, and consultations (minimum 60% of time spent on coaching).
  • Manage quarterly sales and visitation planning, including bonus and activity targets.
  • Conduct annual performance reviews and create Individual Development Plans for each team member.

Territory & Activity Management

  • Oversee the implementation of Territory Action Plans (TAPs), consolidate results, and prepare national-level summaries.
  • Track sales and promotional activity costs, ensure ROI calculations, and provide reports to management.
  • Support and monitor compliance for roundtables, group presentations, and other promotional events.
  • Ensure accurate reporting of visits and off-territory activities in the Veeva CRM system.
  • Supervise sample distribution and related documentation.
  • Collaborate with representatives to organize local events and scientific meetings.

Business & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Marketing to contribute to annual product planning and campaign execution.
  • Cooperate with Finance on budgeting and expense monitoring.
  • Support senior management by providing reports, insights, and decision-making materials.
  • Represent higher-level management decisions to the field force and ensure clear two-way communication.

People Development

  • Recruit, onboard, and train new team members, ensuring proper orientation and integration.
  • Provide coaching in sales skills, data analysis, and administrative processes.
  • Monitor team morale, motivation, and retention, taking proactive steps to maintain engagement.
  • Actively contribute to the development and optimization of internal CRM and reporting systems.

Qualifications

Education

  • Preference with medical studies: MD and an Economics degree as a plus..

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of leadership/managerial experience.

  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Proven sales and business acumen.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to accuracy and detail.
  • Experience in problem-solving and conflict resolution.
  • Proactive, performance-oriented, and innovative mindset.

Other Requirements

  • Fluent English (business/professional level).
  • Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Office, Outlook).
  • Valid Category B driving license and several years of safe driving experience.
  • Willingness to travel frequently across Hungary.
